Defender OCTA is the new hero of the Defender family: a vehicle that combines extreme toughness and luxury, inspired by the octahedral shape of a diamond. It is the most powerful and capable Defender ever, featuring a 4.4-liter twin-turbo mild-hybrid V8 engine that produces 635 PS (approx. 626 hp) and up to 750 Nm of torque. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission with high and low range, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds.

The 6D Dynamics suspension system, with hydraulically interconnected dampers, controls body roll and pitch, while the new OCTA mode and Dynamic mode adjust steering, throttle, and suspension to deliver maximum performance on or off the road. Thanks to this setup, the Defender OCTA is just as fun on tarmac as it is on dirt.

Hybrid power that unleashes adrenaline

At the heart of the Defender OCTA lies a 4.4-liter twin-turbo mild-hybrid P635 V8 that delivers 635 PS and up to 750 Nm of torque. In Dynamic Launch mode, it reaches 800 Nm, enabling a 0–60 mph sprint in 3.8 seconds (0–100 km/h in 4.0 s) and a top speed of 155 mph with lightweight 22-inch wheels and all-season tires.

The 6D Dynamics system almost completely eliminates body roll and pitch, optimizing traction on any surface. The platform has been raised by 28 mm and widened by 68 mm to improve stability and ground clearance. Massive 400 mm front brake discs with Brembo calipers and a quicker steering ratio deliver powerful stopping performance and immediate responses.

A robust design built to conquer any horizon

The Defender OCTA’s design is engineered to face the most extreme conditions. It rides on 33-inch tires—the largest ever fitted on a Defender—including a Goodyear Advanced All-Terrain tire developed specifically for this model. To house them, the wheel arches have been enlarged, and the front grille has been redesigned to improve cooling.

A new rear bumper incorporates a quad-exit active exhaust system, and the vehicle is protected by a graphite-finished aluminum underbody shield with recovery rings in Phosphor Bronze. It can wade up to one meter deep and features additional underbody protection to tackle tough obstacles. The color palette includes exclusive Petra Copper and Faroe Green, paired with a Narvik Black roof and tailgate.

Sensory technology and immersive comfort

Inside, the Defender OCTA debuts new Performance seats with greater lateral support and integration of the Body & Soul Seat (BASS) system. Developed with SUBPAC and Coventry University, this technology lets you feel the music and offers six wellness programs to relax or enhance concentration.

The standard finish combines Semi-Aniline leather with Kvadrat or Ultrafabrics™, materials up to 30% lighter than traditional leather. The 13.1-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected via the Online Pack, manages infotainment functions and provides access to key features in one or two taps.

Editions that make history: Edition One and Black

The launch of the Defender OCTA comes with limited editions that further enhance its exclusivity. The OCTA Edition One, available during the first year of production, features Faroe Green paint with Chopped Carbon Fibre details, forged 20-inch wheels, and specific Advanced All-Terrain tires. Its interior uses Ultrafabrics™ in Khaki and Ebony tones, with seamless finishes and knit-structured components.

For those seeking a darker look, the OCTA Black dresses the body in Narvik Black with the Extended Black Exterior Pack and 20-inch wheels in a Diamond Turned Satin Dark Tint finish.
