Jaguar Land Rover, the British premium brand, and Endesa X, a leading energy services and electric mobility solutions company, today announced that they will join forces to help Jaguar Land Rover customers move towards more environmentally friendly mobility.
Under the agreement, customers of the automotive brand who purchase an electric vehicle will be able to take advantage of a comprehensive, fixed-price offer designed exclusively to make charging easy right out of the box. This includes state-of-the-art, innovative and sustainable charging equipment, such as JuiceBox; complete installation in their private or communal home; a tariff with renewable energy certification for their home with preferential conditions, as well as a special tariff for night-time charging at home at zero cost for their electric vehicle; and free access for 3 months to Endesa X’s public access infrastructure network in Spain.
After this period, Jaguar Land Rover and Endesa X customers will benefit from special conditions on the price of public charging to facilitate all journeys they wish to make away from home. In addition, Jaguar Land Rover customers who purchase the charging point with Endesa X will have advantageous conditions such as: three years’ warranty on their home charging equipment, which is an additional year on top of the standard warranty.
Thanks to the agreement, Jaguar Land Rover and Endesa X will make it easier for customers to not only get on board with zero-emission mobility, but also to embrace the circular economy. The new Endesa X JuiceBoxes combine e-mobility and sustainability, with a casing made from recycled material and a design focused on reuse and recycling. This equipment can charge with up to 7.4kW of power, ideal for home recharging, and has an integrated cable for greater user convenience when recharging on a daily basis. To this end, the charging device has connectivity with the Endesa X JuicePass App (available free of charge on iOS and Android). Through JuicePass, owners of a Jaguar or Land Rover will be able to access detailed information on Endesa X’s public charging network, as well as control, adjust and schedule their charging sessions from anywhere.
This strategic partnership builds on the extensive electrification expertise and experience of both companies. Jaguar Land Rover has demonstrated its world-class technical capability by bringing to market plug-in hybrid models and the first battery-electric premium SUV, the Jaguar I-PACE.
And in its aim to adapt to new ways of understanding the future needs of its customers, it has taken a step further with its new global strategy ‘Reimagine’, whose goal is for all Jaguar and Land Rover models to be available with all-electric power by 2030 and to become a carbon neutral company by 2039. Endesa X, for its part, brings a wealth of experience in the energy sector as a subsidiary of Endesa, and also plays a strategic role in e-mobility as a 360º player, being a developer and operator of infrastructures, a provider of cutting-edge technological solutions and a provider of digital services.
